DNA Laboratories

Contact the North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) for all DNA-typing supplies and any questions regarding test results. NALF will record DNA-test results, forward them to the members and bill the members’ accounts for all laboratory services.

The following addresses are for sending samples to the laboratories for testing.

If MMI Genomics receives a sample on Monday, NALF should get the test results by the Friday that is 11 days later. If the sample is received Tuesday through Friday, it will go into the next Monday’s batch for testing. MMI is closed much of December for the holidays.

NALF should get test results two weeks after Igenity receives a sample.

Protoporphyria (“proto”) testing is not on a set schedule. Allow at least three weeks for NALF to receive those results.
