Mission Statement
The Limi Boosters are the auxiliary organization of the North American Limousin Foundation. The Limousin enthusiasts support the North American Limousin Junior Association members and promote the NALJA activities coupled with complimenting the efforts of NALF in promoting the Limousin breed.
Limi Boosters Objectives
• Support North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) activities
• Provide scholarships to juniors: three $500 scholarships
(two for ag majors and one for a non-ag major)
• Provide financial assistance grants: two $500 grants
• Provide grants to state Limousin junior associations
• Support “mini-junior” (preschool ages) activities
• Donate gifts to participants at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC)

Limi Boosters Membership
The Limi Boosters, the North American Limousin Foundation’s (NALF’s) auxiliary organization, extends to you a special invitation to join their group.
The Limi Boosters plays a variety of roles in the promotion and support of the Limousin breed – including serving as spokespersons, sponsoring scholarships and educational grants for Limousin juniors, sponsoring grants for state junior activities, and donating gifts to participants at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC).
Please join this dedicated group of people who play a vital role in the success of the Limousin breed. The cost is minimal, and the benefits are great to us all.

Donna Etherton Limi Boosters National Scholarship
2012 Recipients

Each year, the Limi Boosters budget up to $3,000 for scholarships and educational grants. Each scholarship and educational grant will between $500 and $750. The association will award them at the discretion of its executive board.
Eligibility
Any active member of the North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) who intends to enroll or continue in a four-year college program is eligible to apply. Applicants’ high-school transcripts must place them in the top scholastic one-third of their classes.
Funds
The Limi Boosters will pay its scholarships directly to the recipients.
Selection
The Limi Boosters will base selection of its scholarship recipients on scholastic excellence; demonstrated leadership; citizenship; financial need; and participation in 4-H, FFA and Limousin junior activities. A selection committee will consider all complete applications received before May 15, and the Limi Boosters will announce the winners at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC). The winners do not need to be present to receive the awards. An applicant can receive one scholarship or educational grant in a given year. Former scholarship recipients cannot reapply, although they may apply for an educational grant (and vice versa).
Application Procedure
1. Obtain information and the application form from the following address, or print it from the North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) Web site.
2.
Complete the application in detail and forward it – along with an official high-school transcript (showing class ranking), a recent photo of yourself and three letters of recommendation – to the following address by May 15.
3. One of the three letters of recommendation must be from an active NALF member other than a relative or guardian. That active member must provide his or her NALF member number and signature in the letter.
4. All applicants must complete the application on original scholarship forms. If applicants want to give extra information, they may attach addenda.
5.
Failure to include all of the required information will disqualify the applicant automatically.

Ron & Carolyn Holland Scholarship
Objective:
The primary objective of the Ron and Carolyn Holland NALJA Scholarship is to financially support the educational pursuits of young Limousin enthusiasts that possess upstanding character, perseverance, work ethic, ingenuity and demonstrated scholastic achievement, consistent with the values endeared by the Holland family.
Eligibility:
Any active member of NALJA entering either their freshman or sophomore years of a four-year academic program majoring in Animal Science or closely related fields of study are eligible to apply.
Funds:
Ron Holland has donated this $2,000 scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship opportunity will be offered to NALJA members from 2013-2017 and will be awarded each year to a high school senior that will be pursuing a degree in an agriculture related field. This scholarship will be paid to the recipient over a four-year period.
Selection:
Selection of the Ron and Carolyn Holland NALJA Scholarship will be based on demonstrated character, leadership, citizenship, scholastic achievement, participation in NALJA activities and/or the Limousin breed, stated future professional goals, as well as financial need. A selection committee will evaluate candidates, with the 2012/2013 recipient announced at the National Junior Limousin Show Awards Banquet.
Application Procedure:
1. Contact the NALF office for an application form. Current information concerning the scholarship will be printed in the NALF Partners email newsletter, in the NALJA email newsletters, on the NALF website, and in the NALJA News publication. 2. Applications should be accompanied with three letters of recommendation, along with high school transcript of grades for the most recent completed academic year. 3. Application must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2013.

The Limi Boosters have a strong desire to help young people who appreciate the Limousin breed; work hard; have energy, drive and determination; and are in need of financial aid to further their educations. The association asks recipients of its grants to be at least average students, have demonstrated citizenship and leadership skills, have participated in 4‑H or FFA, and be NALJA members. A selection committee will consider all applications received before the deadline, and the Limi Boosters will announce recipients at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC). The recipients need not be present to receive the educational grants. An applicant can receive one scholarship or educational grant in a given year. Former educational grant recipients cannot reapply, although they may apply for a scholarship (and vice versa).

4. NALJA News and other Limousin publications will provide current information concerning the educational grant.
