Eastern Regional Junior Limousin Show Returns to Murfreesboro
The Eastern Regional Junior Limousin Show was June 16 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Tom Dalbey, Adel, Ga., evaluated 94 entries for exhibitors from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.
Austen Etherton, Dawson, Ill., led the grand champion owned female. MAGS Sheila is a Jan. 16, 2006, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon and was the Division 4 champion.
RNCL PLD Savannah 6145S was the reserve grand champion owned female for Remy Carmichael, Richmond, Ky. The Oct. 20, 2006, daughter of EXLR Excellante 251L first won Division 1.
Blane Counsil, Madisonville, Texas, led BLCX Madonna 603 to grand champion honors in the bred-and-owned female show. She is a March 25, 2006, daughter of EF Main Stay 541M.
Etherton also had the reserve grand champion bred-and-owned female in EF Cash Me Out 601R, a Sept. 1, 2005, daughter of EXLR New Generation 071M.
In the bred-and-owned bull show, SCGL Sylvester 606S – a March 31, 2006, son of SCGL Hair Bear 327N HB ET – earned grand champion honors for Stephen Getz, Scherr, W.Va., and Maple Lane Farm, Enon Valley, Pa.
The reserve grand champion bred-and-owned bull was EWHS 38 Special 38S. Ethan Hodges, Leakesville, Miss., owns the May 2, 2006, son of LESF Asphalt 9N.
Megan Greenawalt, Lynchburg, Ohio, led the grand champion in the Lim‑Flex® female show. EXLR Rebeca 797S is a March 28, 2006, daughter of Carrousels Pure Power out of EXLR Rebeca 7130M.
EXLR Scotch Cap 191S was the reserve grand champion Lim‑Flex female for Corinne Harrison, Minier, Ill. She is an Oct. 2, 2006, daughter of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Scotch Cap 1005N.
Wyatt Herrington, Ellisville, Miss., won the Prospect Division steer show with WYHE Bug – an 857-pound, halfblood son of CHAZ Miss Susie Dee 6022F. The Prospect Division reserve champion was BWWW Money Maker 27S – the 648-pound, halfblood son of EXLR LTD 023L that Austin Williams, Keystone Heights, Fla., showed.
Taylor Blair, Five Points, Ala., won the Progress Division steer show with TBBF Hunter 600S. He is a 1,234-pound, halfblood son of COLE Wulf Hunt.
Etherton had the best pair of females.
In the showmanship contests, Molly Greenawalt, Lynchburg, Ohio, worked her way to the top of the Junior Division. Megan Greenawalt claimed highest honors in the Intermediate Division. Etherton won the title of champion senior showman.
