152 Head Parade at All-American Limousin Futurity
The All-American Limousin Futurity (AALF) was July 26 in West Monroe, La., in conjunction with the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC). The AALF is one of the North American Limousin Foundation’s (NALF’s) four major Medal of Excellence (MOE) shows.
Doug Satree, Montague, Texas, sorted 24 purebred Limousin bulls, 78 purebred Limousin females, five Lim‑Flex® bulls and 17 Lim‑Flex females. Ryan Carmichael, Richmond, Ky., evaluated five bulls and 23 females in the fullblood Limousin show.
In the purebred bull show, DHVO Deuce 132R won the grand champion banner after winning Division 6. Magness Land and Cattle, Platteville, Colo.; Lawrence Family Limousin, Anton, Texas; Kervin Cattle Co., Winnfield, La.; and Lance Hall Cattle Co., Sweetwater, Texas, own the March 13, 2005, son of GPFF Blaque Rulon. The reserve grand champion purebred bull was EXLR Rodeo Drive 743R, the Division 6 reserve champion. The March 17, 2005, son of LESF Asphalt 9N belongs to Tubmill Creek Farms, New Florence, Pa., and Express Ranches, Yukon, Okla.
MAGS Sheila, the winner of Division 4, went on to claim the title of grand champion purebred female. Austen Etherton, Dawson, Ill., owns the Jan. 16, 2006, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon. EXLR Luvly 608S followed Sheila out of Division 4 to stand as reserve grand champion purebred female. Express Ranches and Summers Limousin, Independence, Mo., own the Jan. 31, 2006, daughter of Carrousels Pure Power.
Grand champion honors in the Lim‑Flex bull show went to EXLR Review 273R, the Division 3 winner and a Sept. 15, 2005, son of LESF Asphalt 9N out of EXLR Lim‑Flex 50 7316 M. Express Ranches and Spring Creeks Cattle Co., Wauzeka, Wis., own him. Etherton Farms, Dawson, Ill.; Magness Land and Cattle; and Counsil Family Limousin, Madisonville, Texas, own the reserve grand champion Lim‑Flex bull. EF Smack Down 764S, a March 1, 2006, son of EF Main Stay 541M out of M L Prudence 427, first won Division 2.
In the Lim‑Flex female show, junior exhibitors showed four of the five division champions. MAGS Rose Petal came from the Cow-Calf Division to win grand champion for Etherton. The April 1, 2005, daughter of GPFF Blaque Rulon out of TECC Dateline’s Gal 10J showed with a March 3, 2007, son of EF Main Stay 541M at her side. CHR Shanda 263S claimed reserve grand champion Lim‑Flex female for Lee Roy Lawrence, Anton, Texas. The Division 1 winner is a Sept. 16, 2006, daughter of GPFF Black Rulon out of KQ 8038H.
In the fullblood bull show, CCRA Semper Fi 54R won grand champion after winning Division 3. Cedar Creek Limousin, Thornfield, Mo., exhibited the Nov. 22, 2005, son of Lenape Polled Liberty. The reserve grand champion fullblood bull was Lenape Packed Peach, the Division 2 champion. The April 23, 2006, son of Lenape Impact belongs to Lenape Limousin, Telford, Pa.
SDGL Golden Girl 180S, the winner of Division 3, was the grand champion fullblood female. Black Tie Limousin, Mountain Grove, Mo., owns the March 10, 2006, daughter of EAFF Mr Medalist 252J. LL Daffodil 574, the Division 4 champion, was reserve grand champion fullblood female. Cody Beach, Bristow, Okla., owns the Nov. 17, 2005, daughter of EDGE Endeavor 202M.
Express Ranches claimed the Premier Breeder honors. Deer Valley Farm, Fayetteville, Tenn., was the Premier Exhibitor.
