Limi Boosters Elect Officers for 2007–2008

The Limi Boosters elected their 2007–2008 officers July 25 in West Monroe, La. The auxiliary organization to the North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) conducts its annual meeting in conjunction with the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress (NJLSC) each year.

Susan Carmichael, Richmond, Ky., was elected president; and Kris Greenawalt, Lynchburg, Ohio, will serve as vice president. Norma Davis, Brownwood, Texas, and Mary Blaydes, Midway, Ky., will continue as secretary and treasurer, respectively. Past President Donna Etherton, Dawson, Ill., will continue on the executive committee as an ex officio member.

Anyone is welcome to join the Limi Boosters. Annual dues are $20, and lifetime dues are $200. The organization supports and promotes the North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) and helps promote the Limousin breed. Its fund-raising efforts support scholarships and educational grants for NALJA members, fund state junior Limousin associations’ field days, and provide the souvenir gift each exhibitor receives during the NJLSC opening ceremonies.

For more information about the Limi Boosters, see the “Programs” section of the NALF Web site (www.nalf.org) or contact Carmichael at susan@carmichael5.com or (859) 328-7355.

The North American Limousin Foundation (www.nalf.org), headquartered in Centennial, Colo., provides programs and services – including genetic evaluation of 5,000 active sires – to nearly 4,000 members and their commercial customers. The Limousin breed and its Lim‑Flex® hybrid lead the beef industry in muscle-growth efficiency and ideally complement British breeds.
