NALF Recognizes Its Top Producers
The North American Limousin Foundation (NALF) has compiled the statistics for its recently completed fiscal year and released its list of top 20 active breeder-members. Together, they registered almost 7,600 Limousin and Lim‑Flex® calves.
“By registering their animals, Limousin breeders demonstrate their dedication to verifiable seedstock with reliable pedigrees, performance information and EPDs (expected progeny differences),” said Kent Andersen, Ph.D., executive vice president for NALF. “Registrations enable comprehensive breed marketing, progressive research and a variety of member services. They are the lifeblood of breed success.”
Research conducted by NALF and Colorado State University (CSU) indicates Limousin and Lim‑Flex bulls sold at auctions in 2005 and 2006 brought $437 more if they were registered.
