The National Western Stock Show will soon be upon us and plans are being made for every aspect. The Genetics on Ice Benefit Auction has been scheduled for Monday evening, January 13, 2020 at the Double Tree Hotel. The Benefit Auction is the major fundraiser for the NJLSC and the All-American Limousin Futurity that will be held in West Monroe, La., June 27 – July 3, 2020.
We trust you will contribute items of interest and value to this year’s auction. Items of great appeal are semen on bulls of great popularity due to limited supply, strong EPD’s or semen that is unavailable on the open market; frozen embryo’s from proven donors; pregnant recipients (in which case donor gets $1,000); flush rights on top donors, etc.
Other popular items have been hunts on Limousin ranches around the country, such as deer, elk, quail, pheasant, turkey, goose, etc. Also, art and craft items such as paintings, wall hangings, coffee tables, personalized mugs, torch art, lamps, coat racks, etc.
We will also be selling pages in the 2020 show program, NALJA show shirt sponsorship and other items. Photographs of items selling are welcome, but not absolutely necessary if the item selling is available for viewing at the auction.
Kiley McKinna has agreed to assist us in gathering genetics, etc. for this year’s auction. You will be bearing from one of us, Katie Campbell, other NALF staff, or one of the NALJA board members within the next few weeks.
