Fort Worth, Texas, is a place filled with a rich history that makes it a destination everyone looks forwards to visiting, especially during the annual Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. Exhibitors from all over the nation will travel to compete at this high-level event. Not only do people come from all over for the high caliber cattle, but also for the excellent food. Fort Worth is home to some of the best restaurants that become a must go to spot every year!

One of the fan favorite places is Stubby’s Cinnamon Rolls. Not only do they offer the most mouthwatering cinnamon rolls, but they also come with the convenience of being located right on the fairgrounds in the cattle barns. You can get your cinnamon roll plain or with the works, but either way, they will have you coming back for more.  Stubby’s Cinnamon Rolls also offers other options if you’re looking for lunch; try their baked potatoes loaded your way or their bread bowls.

If you’re looking for a good seafood place, you will want to make sure and hit Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Pappadeaux offers a wide range of dishes from Cajun specialties, chef selections, fried seafood, and surf & turf. They also offer specials with the fresh seafood they get in at certain times of the year. Don’t forget about their appetizers either; one of their most popular appetizers is the Shrimp & Crawfish Fondeaux. This cheesy goodness is served with Garlic bread and is so good, many get just that for their dinner.

Looking for a good Mexican food place, make sure to stop by Uncle Julio’s.  This restaurant is known for their made to order guacamole that’s whipped up right at your table in a traditional Molcajete. They offer a wide selection of fajitas, so there is sure to be something that everyone will like. No fajitas would be complete without tortillas, especially Uncle Julio’s homemade tortillas. If you are looking for something sweet, make sure to try their famous Chocolate Piñata. It’s a hanging piñata of dark chocolate filled with homemade churros and fresh fruit.

One of the highest regarded places to eat at is the Woodshed Smokehouse. With three smokers, two rotisseries, two wood grills, and a rotating variety of woods on which to cook, the Woodshed has become an exciting and unique destination. One of the staring attractions on their menu is the dining with friends options. Here you will find different platters that come with a variety of meats served on one giant platter for the whole table. Of those, the most popular is the one featuring the tomahawk prime rib; it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before.

Another popular destination for those who love oysters is J&J Oyster Bar. This place is known for its fresh oysters, and they keep people coming back year after year.  If you aren’t a fan of raw oysters, no worries, they offer other delicious items like po’boy sandwiches and fried seafood baskets.

If you are looking for something quick, but still delicious, you can always stop at the In-N-Out Burger on the way back to the hotel. This staple is known for their “secret menu” which includes their animal style burger and fries that are perfect for those that love their specialty sauce. They also have chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla shakes that make a great pairing for their burgers.
