Champion animals were selected today for prospect steers, progress steers, bred and owned Limousin heifers, and Lim-Flex females in the 2016 National Junior Limousin Show and Congress.
Members of the North American Limousin Junior Association (NALJA) kicked off their week of shows of the 2016 National Junior Limousin Show and Congress on July 11, 2016 in Lexington, Ky. Scott Bush, Britton, SD, evaluated the 15 steers, 20 bred and owned Limousin heifers, and 165 Lim-Flex® females.
Exhibiting the grand champion Lim-Flex female was Schillings Chrome ET, Connor Anderson, Topeka, Kan. Rachel Booth, Miami, Okla. showed the reserve grand champion Lim-Flex female, RBLH Champagne ET.
In the bred and owned Limousin female show, grand champion honors were awarded to Ashlee Sue Corns, Altoona, Kan. showing SCRN Blaire 126B. Nichole Keeton, Wolfforth, Texas, exhibited the reserve champion bred and owned Limousin female, LLKT Miss Carolina 511C.
In the steer show, Bush selected Tucker Parkinson, Levelland, Texas, as exhibitor of the grand champion prospect steer, PC Cash. CJLM Catalyst 182C took the banner for reserve grand champion, exhibited by Andrew Thomas Milam, Olmstead, Ky.
Collin Ochsner, Kersey, Colo. exhibited the grand champion progress steer, ROMN Caesar 201C. Reserve grand champion progress steer went to SCGL War Eagle 508C, exhibited by R Cole Caugman, Mount Sidney, Va.
