Outstanding Limousin and Lim-Flex cattle were on display at the 2017 FWSS Limousin Show held in Fort Worth, Texas. The Level 1 Medal of Excellence (MOE) Limousin show was held on January 28. Dr. Blake Bloomberg, Stillwater, Okla., had the honors of sorting the 54 open cattle, consisting of 47 females and 7 bulls.
Grand champion female honors went to JCL Candy Girl LNLM 5514C, exhibited by Jaden Linthicum, Welch, Okla. She’s a May 3, 2015 born, 50 percent Lim-Flex female out of CALO Brickyard 902W.
SHSK Debra Dawn ET, exhibited by Kai Thomsen, Winnsboro, Texas, was selected reserve grand champion female. Debra Dawn is a daughter of OSU Class Act, born January 4, 2016.
For the Limousin bull show, JCL Land & Cattle and Thomas & Son Farms, Welch, Okla., exhibited the grand champion Limousin bull with TASF Crown Royal 960C. Crown Royal is an April 24, 2015, purebred son of DHVO Deuce 132R.
JCL Land & Cattle and Sullivan Farms, Welch, Okla., showed the reserve champion Limousin bull. JCL Driver 617D is a May 7, 2016, 75 percent Lim-Flex bull, sired by Cottage Lake Border Agent.
Premier breeder honors went to Linden Linthicum, Welch, Okla. Premier exhibitor was awarded to JCL Land and Cattle, Welch, Okla.
Limousin herdsman honors went to Cole Atkinson with JCL Land and Cattle.
