Winning the showmanship contest at the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress is one of the highlights of any junior member’s career. Four age divisions of members from the North American Limousin Junior Association competed in the National Limousin Showmanship Contest on Monday, July 1, 2024. The contest was held during the National Junior Limousin Show & Congress, June 29 – July 4, in Tulsa, Okla. Evan and Rachel Summers, Okla., served as the judges for the contest.
The top ten showmen from each age division were selected.
In the novice division, ages five to nine, Champion Showman was Sadie Eggers, Humboldt, Kan. Rounding out the top ten included: Reserve Champion Showman, Cogan Schilling, Goodland, Kan.; third, Kharis Wilson, Marshfield, Mo.; fourth, Molly McCurry, Hutchinson, Kan.; fifth, Micheal Stafford, Prineville, Ore.; sixth, Brock Freed, Fairbury, Ill.; seventh, Patton Laber, Hillsboro, Ohio.; eighth, Jade Skrinjar, Rogers, Ohio.; ninth, Radley Berry, Port Orchard, Wash.; tenth, Maren Ratcliff, Olpe, Kan.
The junior division consists of members ages ten to 13, Grand Champion Junior Showman, Tenley Elmore, Hominy, Okla.; Reserve Champion Showman, Ty Freed, Fairbury, Ill.; third, Trotter Thomas, Sterling, Colo.; fourth: Braylen Schaeffer, Hagerstown, Ind.; fifth, D’lelah Laber, Hillsboro, Ohio; sixth, Bevin Bertsche, Onida, S.D.; seventh, Jemma Dorsey, Witt, Ill.; eighth, Colt Parkinson, Levelland, Texas.; ninth, Kynlee Thomas, Ropesville, Texas; tenth, Beau London, Collinsville, Texas.
Memphis Peterson, Pukwana, S.D., was the Grand Champion Intermediate Showman, an age division consisting of youth ages 14 to 16. Rounding out the top ten included: Reserve Champion Showman, Tayhlor Elmore, Hominy, Okla.; third, Danica Lowrey, El Dorado Springs, Mo.; fourth, Rowdy Berry, Port Orchard, Wash.; fifth, Ellie Dill, Marshfield, Mo.; sixth, Hannah Wages, Center, Texas; seventh, Olivia Ord, Guide Rock, Neb.; eighth, Ashlyn Popp, Versailles, Ky.; ninth, Kinley Collum, Guthrie, Okla.; tenth: Chelsea Pinnell, Cuba, Mo.
In the final division, members ranging in age from 17 to 21, Grand Champion Senior Showman went to Ryleigh Morris, Ash Grove, Mo. Rounding out the top ten were: Reserve Champion Showman, Kesler Collins, Flanagan, Ill.; third, Samantha Moore, Staunton, Va.; fourth: Claire Dorsey, Witt, Ill.; fifth, Makayla Massey, London, Ky.; sixth, Keely Shultz, Danielsville, Ga.; seventh, Carter Kornegay, Tulsa, Okla.; eighth, Kaylee White, Woonsocket, S.D.; ninth, Kyle Linhart, Leon, Iowa; tenth: McKenna Richardson, Eureka, Kan.
