About NALJA

The purpose of the North American Limousin Junior Association is to develop knowledgeable, motivated beef industry leaders, while promoting the Limousin breed through fellowship, leadership, and education.

A one-time membership fee and an annual activity fee opens NALJA membership to anyone age 21 and younger. NALJA members enjoy special member rates on all registrations and other NALF services, receive the NALJA News newsletter, and take part in setting the direction of NALJA through an annual meeting.

NALJA members may participate in NALJA leadership conferences – such as the Summit conference – as well as the national junior show and regional shows during the summer.

Membership

The initial cost of a junior membership is $50. This fee activates the Junior membership for the current year and the following calendar year. After this time, Junior members pay a $25/year activity fee to qualify for active member rates and to show at NALF and NALJA sponsored events.

NALJA Objectives

The objectives of NALJA are:

Offer education opportunities which will prepare members for a future in agriculture, ideally within the Limousin breed.
Develop leadership and communication skills to enable members to become more effective beef industry leaders.
Improve the network of communication between the NALF board, state associations, and NALJA members.
Provide members the opportunity to explore a wide variety of career opportunities.
Expand the base of active, participating members by promoting enthusiasm for the Limousin breed through programs designed around the needs of today’s youth.
