Champions named in NWSS junior Limousin show

Members of the North American Limousin Junior Association paraded their Limousin and Lim-Flex entries in the 2017 National Western Stock Show junior show. The show was held Tuesday, January 10 in the NWSS Stadium Arena, Denver. Judge Jon DeClerck, Lubbock, Texas, evaluated the 18 Limousin and 34 Lim-Flex animals.

Continuing her winning ways was Riverstone Charmed, adding NWSS junior show grand champion Limousin female to her impressive resume. Exhibited by Madison Ratliff, Westphalia, Kan., Charmed is a January 31, 2015 daughter of TMCK Durham Wheat 6030X and is a 92 percent purebred Limousin female.

Coming from the same class as the champion female, the reserve champion Limousin female was exhibited by Micah Leigh Ott, Danvers, Ill. LMCC Scotch Cap 35C is an 87% purebred Limousin female born on February 2, 2015 and sired by Schillings Talladega.

In the Lim-Flex heifer show, grand champion Lim-Flex female was JCL Candy Girl LNLM 5514C exhibited by Jaden Clark Linthicum, Welch, Okla. She is a 50% Lim-Flex female born May 3, 2015 and sired by CALO Brickyard 902W.

The reserve champion Lim-Flex female was exhibited by Garrett Walden, Tonganoxie, Kan. STLX Cora 513C is a 37% Lim-Flex heifer born March 2, 2015 and sired by PVF Insight 0129.
